Anke Interiorstyling

Anke of ‘Anke Interieurstyling’ knows how to create beautiful, personal interior designs time and again. Her advice is characterised by balance, unity and warmth. Anke Interieurstyling's vision is: Natural Simplicity.

LIVING STYLE: Scandinavian - Modern - Minimalist - WabiSabi

Creativity in the DNA

‘In primary school, I already knew what I would like to become later; interior designer like Jan des Bouvrie,’ she says. She chose to study graphic design after secondary school and then ended up in photography. Because the passion for interior design proved so strong after all, a career switch took place in 2021. Having now completed her training at the interior design academy, you can come here for atmospheric, warm and timeless interior advice.

‘Now I am still doing what I always wanted to do before, make people happy with their interiors, only not as an interior designer but as a stylist.’

Design items and second-hand goods

There is a great fondness for Scandinavian and minimalist design with natural colours and materials, because it has warmth and character. What is indispensable here is an eye catcher, something that stands out. This could be a designer chair, a special lamp or a cool work of art.

‘I like to combine home accessories from cool brands with fun thrift store finds or personal items.’

A timeless and warm interior

No matter how big or small the living question is, Anke is happy to help create a calm, timeless and warm interior. During the interior question time, all questions can be discussed. Only need help with the finishing touches or a complete interior advice? Several packages are available. ‘The great thing about working as an interior stylist is that you manage to surprise clients and they come home to a place they had always wanted but didn't know how to do.’ The diversity in projects is what makes the work so much fun.

Sofas Moa en Sommer

In the By SIDDE studio, Anke styled two sofas. Both close to her own style, yet different. Sofa Moa in Mixed Clay has a lot of warmth and character added through natural materials and earthy tones. In contrast, the styling at sofa Sommer in Oat Beige is slightly more modern with more contrasts. It has a calm colour palette, but the different textures and materials make it more exciting.

Inspiration from daily life

Currently, free hours are spent on a course in SketchUp. Using this programme, realistic 3D drawings can be made, giving clients a good idea of a design. Inspiration comes from everywhere. ‘Actually, inspiration is constantly there, as long as you are open to it. Especially nature, art and architecture inspire me.’

Create calm in the home

The living room, the heart of the house, is the nicest room to style. It is nice to reflect the client's personality in the interior design advice. Looking for tranquillity in the home? ‘Create unity through repetition. To do this, recur colours, materials and textures in different ways. With muted colours matched to each other, create a calm but warm atmosphere.’
