Brown sofa in a warm interior | A look inside Eva's home

A warm and Mediterranean interior with natural materials, robust details and a dark brown sofa as an eye-catcher. Eva and her partner transformed their 1960s home into an atmospheric home full of character. Take a look inside and discover how warm colors, unique materials and personal choices come together in their living room.

From a 1960s home to a stylish, inviting home

When Eva and her partner bought their home in 2018, they immediately saw the possibilities. The simple, box-shaped building provided a great foundation for an interior that would perfectly suit them. Together, they thoroughly tackled the renovation.

Her partner works as an architect and inspired Eva to look at spaces and atmosphere differently. During the renovation, her love for interior design and styling grew. To capture all the changes, she started sharing photos on Instagram. What began as a personal record grew into a creative outlet.

"It eventually got a little out of hand and became what it is now! And it's still really fun to express my creativity here."

Mediterranean interior with natural materials

The foundation of Eva's interior consists of natural materials and warm earth tones. Exposed concrete, old wooden planks, and rough stone walls give the home a robust look. Cream and beige tones provide calm and softness.

Instead of white walls, Eva deliberately chose warm neutral colors. The raised ceiling and the wall behind the sofa also received a deeper shade. This creates a cozy seating area that fits beautifully with the Mediterranean living style.

"I like it when materials are not too perfect and really have some character."

Combining a brown sofa with beige tones and natural materials gives a living room warmth and depth. Eva chose the Molli modular sofa by By SIDDE in the color Lumo 08 Dark Cacao.

The deep chocolate brown color forms a beautiful contrast with the light earth tones and robust materials in the home. Thanks to the soft, inviting design, Molli fits perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere of her interior.

Besides the look, seating comfort is at least as important. After a busy day, Eva likes to relax on the sofa with a good series. This way, the seating area is not only beautiful to look at, but above all a nice place to enjoy together.

"Because of the dark brown, the seating area has really become so much warmer and cozier."

Eva's tips for a warm and inviting interior

According to Eva, a personal interior does not need to be full of accessories. Just a few striking decorative pieces or special materials can add a lot of atmosphere.

The ceiling also deserves attention. By painting it in a warm shade, you create a more intimate feel in the living room. Plants then bring life and freshness into the home and combine beautifully with natural materials.

Eva draws inspiration from holidays, special hotels, and Pinterest. She translates the ideas that appeal to her into her interior in her own way.

"I always think it's beautiful to have plants in the house. They really bring the whole thing to life."
