Take a look inside the warm Scandinavian interior of Sylvia (@Sylslifestyle)
Meet Sylvia. A few years ago, she and her partner bought a detached house in Twello, a former white goods shop dating from 1926. After the purchase, they gave the interior a warm Scandinavian look with light shades of paint, new window decoration, a cast floor and carefully chosen furniture. The result is an atmospheric and modern dream home.
The beginning of Sylslifestyle
Sylvia was passionate about interior design from childhood. Since 2014, she has been sharing photos of her warmly decorated Scandinavian home on Instagram. The account reached more and more people, which inspired her to start selling (homemade) home accessories. Nowadays, the focus is on sharing her beige interior and offering interior inspiration to her followers.
Warm Scandinavian living style & unique item
Light colours, natural materials and warmth characterise the Scandinavian living style in Sylvia's home, where various beige tones and wooden accents are combined with a white, calm base. Inspiration for this beige interior comes mainly from interior design magazines, visits to furniture shops and Instagram. The most unique item in the warmly decorated Scandinavian interior is the homemade relief painting, a special birthday present.
I have a weakness for accessories and side tables - I can't get enough of them haha!
Corner sofa Sommer
Sylvia discovered By SIDDE on Instagram and was immediately impressed by the designer sofas. In 2021, the straight three-seater sofa Sommer was purchased, which replaced one of the old sofas in the living room and matched the beige interior perfectly. The designer sofa was so well liked that two years later, when the corner sofa needed replacing, By SIDDE was chosen again. This time, the corner version of the Sommer was chosen because of its stylish design and the stain-resistant treatment of the fabric. After ordering the fabric samples and visiting the studio in Eerbeek, the Sommer corner sofa was in the living room in no-time.
Tips from Sylvia
For a calm home, Sylvia recommends a light and serene base, as is the case with the warm Scandinavian style of living. 'Choose white, greige or beige tones, using natural materials such as wooden and woollen plaids', she says. 'Give your beige interior a new look by adding seasonal or trendy accessories. This makes it easy to vary and experiment with different looks throughout the year."
Life is already busy enough, when I come home I like to surround myself in peace
